About FundingPoint

We help Americans make smarter financial decisions by connecting them with the best lending options and providing expert educational resources.

Our Story

Founded in 2015, FundingPoint was created to solve a simple problem: finding the right loan or credit card should not be complicated or time-consuming. We believed that by bringing lenders together in one marketplace, we could create competition that benefits consumers. Our founders, with combined experience of over 30 years in financial services and technology, saw an opportunity to bring transparency and simplicity to a traditionally opaque industry.

Today, we help Americans across the country compare rates on personal loans, business loans, mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, and other financial products. Our network includes 300+ trusted lenders, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, editorial independence, and data security.

Our headquarters is located in Annapolis, Maryland, and our team of financial writers, analysts, and engineers works every day to ensure that the information on our site is accurate, up-to-date, and genuinely useful to consumers navigating important financial decisions.

How We Make Money

FundingPoint is a free service for consumers. We make money in two ways, and we believe in being fully transparent about both:

Lender Referral Fees

When you use our comparison tools and choose to apply with one of our lending partners, we may receive a referral fee from that lender. This does not cost you anything extra and does not affect the rates or terms you receive. The compensation we receive may influence which products appear on our site and the order in which they are displayed, but it does not influence our editorial content or ratings.

Advertising Revenue

We display advertisements on our website, including on our blog and educational resources pages, through Google AdSense and other advertising partners. These ads are clearly labeled and visually separated from our editorial content. Ad revenue helps us maintain our free comparison tools and produce high-quality financial education content.

Importantly, our editorial team operates independently from our business team. Advertisers and lending partners do not have input into our editorial content, product ratings, or recommendations. Our writers and editors are guided by our editorial standards and are committed to providing accurate, unbiased information to help you make the best financial decisions. You can also learn more on our How We Make Money page.
